Keystone is a media client for Apple TV that connects to your self-hosted Plex and Jellyfin servers. Your privacy is important to us, and Keystone is designed to keep your data under your control.

Data We Collect

Keystone does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us. Specifically:

We do not operate any servers or cloud services.
We do not collect analytics, usage data, or crash reports.
We do not use third-party tracking or advertising SDKs.

Data Stored on Your Device

Keystone stores the following information locally on your Apple TV to provide its functionality:

Server credentials — authentication tokens and server URLs for your Plex and Jellyfin accounts, stored in UserDefaults.
App preferences — your settings such as playback engine preference, parental control configuration, and display options.
Profile data — locally created user profiles for parental controls.

This data never leaves your device except to communicate directly with your own media servers.

Network Communication

Keystone communicates only with:

Your Plex/Jellyfin servers — to browse libraries, stream media, and report playback progress.
plex.tv — during Plex account authentication (PIN-based device linking).

All network traffic goes directly between your Apple TV and these services. We do not proxy, intercept, or monitor any of this communication.

Children's Privacy

Keystone includes parental control features but does not collect any data from children or any other users. All content filtering is performed locally on your device.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
